Week 19

Hello & Welcome to week 19!

Welcome to week 19! We hope you’ve all had a wonderful, peaceful and joyful break! We are now starting a new unit and a new month. This week we’ll be learning about traditional tales and the Three Little Pigs.
Monday: NO SCHOOL
Tuesday: P is for popcorn, pigs and painting
Wednesday: P is for pinwheel, pizzas and pigs in mud
Thursday:  P is for playdoh, puzzles and “P” books
This week we are working on the letter Pp, reintroducing our basic colors starting with Red. We are still working with TouchPoint math and the numbers 4-6.

Hello & Welcome to week 13!
This week is all about things that are make-believe or fairytales. We will be do a variety of activities this week that help us understand what make-believe means as well as discuss many fairytales.

This week is all things in nature that are gigantic. We will be do a variety of activities this week that help us understand the terms "bigger/smaller" and what things are gigantic!

Week 11

Hello & Welcome to week 11!
This week is all about Halloween & different sizes. We will be do a variety of activities this week that help us understand the terms "bigger/smaller" and will also be celebrating Halloween!!

Monday: Introducing sizes
  • Making different size paper balls to fill a pumpkin bag
  • Halloween pictures in sequence from biggest to smallest etc.
  • Clean out pumpkins
Tuesday: Work on sorting candy by big and small
  • Using different sizes of crepe paper, decorate paper pumpkins

Week 5

Hello & Welcome to week 5!

This week is all about our feelings and emotions. We will be do a variety of activities this week that help us understand what emotions are and how they help us in life.
 

Monday: Working on our understanding of clever
  • Name puzzles and size matters - smallest to largest.
  • Played bean bag toss & measured how far they were thrown
  • Make a picture for a puzzle
Tuesday: working on our ability to think
Wednesday: working on our emotions - happy/sad/surprised
  • Finger-painting on the table- encourage happy and sad faces with a photo as a model
  • Predict what box will hold the most cubes & fill the box, then count the cubes
  • Feelings game
  • Put puzzles from Monday together
Thursday: working on things that frighten us
  • Finger-painting monsters
  • Place as many frog counters on a lid until it sinks - count the frogs
  • Make noodle monsters
