Week 16

Hello & Welcome to week 16!

This week is all about healthy choices! We’ll do a variety of activities this week that help us understand how to know if something is healthy and we’ll practice making healthy food/game choices! We will also be starting our Christmas projects!

Monday: Introduce Elf on a Shelf
  • Decorate snowflakes
  • Introduce TouchPoint math
  • Make Elf hats
Tuesday: Discuss healthy, nutritious foods
  • Cut & Paste wallpaper letters
  • Make bird seed ornament
  • Work on touch point math
Wednesday: Discuss why eggs and peanut butter are healthy
  • Work on egg design patterns
  • Cutting out eggs
  • This is how I write my name worksheet
ThursdayDiscuss treats and what a healthy treat could be
  • Decorate stockings
  • Work on shoe tying
  • Play gingerbread coloring game

Week 14


Hello & Welcome to week 14!

This week is all about Thanksgiving. We will be do a variety of activities this week that help us understand what being thankful means and why Thanksgiving is important.

Week 13

Hello & Welcome to week 13!
This week is all about things that are make-believe or fairytales. We will be do a variety of activities this week that help us understand what make-believe means as well as discuss many fairytales.

Monday: Learn about giants made by people
  • Paint a giant mountain
  • Make name skyscrapers
  • Build with legos on their tummy
Tuesday: Discuss what make-believe means
  • Decorate a shield
  • Make magic wands
  • Write two pages in our "I am Thankful" books
Wednesday: Explore different fairytales
  • Write two more pages in our "I am Thankful" books
  • Dot dragons
  • Gingerbread man on our tummies
Thursday: Field trip to Tropical Arena
  • AM class will leave at 10:20/PM class will leave at 1:40
  • We will walk to tropical arena. This is our introduction to our next unit, making choices.

WEEK 12

Hello & Welcome to week 12!
This week is all things in nature that are gigantic. We will be do a variety of activities this week that help us understand the terms "bigger/smaller" and what things are gigantic!


 
Monday: Discuss nature's giants and explore things that are gigantic!~
  • Paint mountains
  • Handprint Turkey
  • Decorate turkey feathers for door
Tuesday: Discuss how oceans are enormous
  • Make waves in a bottle
  • Listening center
  • Corn Cob painting
Wednesday: The great enormous rock
  • Make pumpkin people
  • Make cover to "I am thankful book"
  • Block building
Thursday: Field trip to the courthouse
  • We will be going on a scavenger hunt for giant buildings and statues around town as well as visiting the courthouse
  • Please dress your students appropriately for the weather
